Periodontist
Dr. Ryan O'Donnell

I’m Dr. Ryan P. O’Donnell, a Pacific Northwest native born and raised in Issaquah, Washington. After earning my bachelor’s degree at Oregon State University, I moved to Los Angeles to complete my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at University of Southern California. While I loved the sunshine, the mountains and fresh air of the Pacific Northwest eventually called me home.
I completed a three-year specialty residency in Periodontics and Dental Implant Surgery at University of Washington, receiving advanced training in periodontal therapies, dental implant placement, and modern surgical techniques.
I am proud to serve patients across the Seattle community as the new owner of Seattle Periodontics and Implant, honoring its legacy while combining specialty training with a patient-centered approach to help each person achieve their healthiest, most confident smile.
Periodontist
Dr. Ashley Holders

I’m Dr. Ashley Hoders, and I live in the Pacific Northwest with my husband, Jeremy, our rescue pup Rambo, and our baby, Hudson. Originally from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, I earned my bachelor’s degree at George Washington University and my DMD from University of Florida.
After advanced training in Baltimore, I completed dual specialty training in Periodontics and Prosthodontics at University of Texas Health Science Center, becoming the first woman to complete the program and earning a Master of Science. I’m also the only female Diplomate and Fellow of both the American Board of Periodontology and the American Board of Prosthodontics, and enjoy collaborating on complex cases while providing compassionate, technology-driven care.

Saving Your Teeth & Health
In health the teeth are embedded in a collar of tissue that sits about 3 mm above the supportive boney framework. This tooth supportive structure is also called the periodontium, "perio" is around and "dont" is tooth.
Ideally the gum tissue should have a thicker top (keratinized) layer that is resilient to trauma from normal daily chewing and cleaning efforts. The supporting bone should encase the tooth root and extend to about 3 mm of the margin of the crown of the tooth.
